Geoff welcomes new buses to mid Cornwall

Geoff Brown, Lib Dem Cornwall Councillor for Newquay Pentire and Portfolio holder for Transport at Cornwall Council has welcomed the latest fleet of 41 First Kernow buses which are now arriving in the county to operate in mid Cornwall.

The new buses are split between double and single deckers and have all the latest features including electronic information boards, tables with charging points, wifi and are fully disability compliant.

The new additions will be operating routes from Newquay, St Austell and Bodmin and together with the Tinners buses, already working in the west of the county, will ensure that Cornwall has one of the most modern fleets in the country.

Geoff said "this is a significant investment in public transport and marks our determination to give the people of Cornwall the best possible public transport system available in any rural area"
